The Sims Hot Date

I chose to try and drag us screaming and kicking into doing things with purpose in a world of air and light.

Even though the contractors thought they new better at times. by the time we got to Vacation, we were proving the path.

Sims could now date, new NPCs. and form relationships on a deeper level in environments more diverse and rich than we had been able to do before.

Seriously, that payphone icecream pop fibreglass with the glowing phone receiver is one of the things I am most proud of. And I loved doing the signage and internal branding. More on that in Vacation and Unleashed.

We now had a new neighborhood that your Sims could visit via taxi and call from the phone in your Sims very own house!!!

If you ever thought to yourself... hey, I think I should turn off a Z Buffered seat and then have it be attached as live GEO to the butt of a character so they can "Swing"....... you understand 1990s early 2000s video games.

With the Addition of the Superlative Jason Leong(next three sketches) and the equally as Superlative Ferby Miguel, see later puppies and kitties, we expanded into the realm of a functioning vis dev and pre pro space.

moving toward a fully fledged and responsive art department.

Cap' Hedman's Hideway was born. I think it finally got dropped in the second or third sequel.

sigh....at least there was no fighting over the wood grain scale.

part of the fun of having a more integrated art department was making dumb jokes for the ads.

However I am glad Hot Date...which was lifted from When Harry met Sally. made it through over. The Sims Dating!!!!

We added a lot of good clothes but Will had already given away all the development tools to the fans... so they were out stripping us...pun intended.

I seriously wish I had been given the opportunity to fight against the blue syrup fountain. Over all though. People dug it. Especially the cheesy pick up animations.
